Person Sensor by Useful Sensors

The Person Sensor is a small hardware module that's intended to make it easy to find out when people are near a device, where they are, and who they are. It has an image sensor and a microcontroller with pretrained ML models that use computer vision to spot faces.

The Person Sensor from Useful Sensors Inc. includes a camera module pre-programmed with algorithms that detect nearby faces, and return information over a simple Qwiic I2C interface. There’s also a separate interrupt pin, TP1, which is used to indicate if any people have been detected.

Examples are written for Arduino, Raspberry Pi & Python, Raspberry Pi Pico and Circuit Python.
