Environmental (IAQ) Sensor Breakout - BME688 (Qwiic)

The BME688 offers comprehensive environmental sensing in a small design. This sensor detects temperature, humidity, air pressure, and a variety of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs), and other gases such as carbon monoxide and hydrogen in the parts per billion (ppb) range. All over SPI or I2C at a great price.

The BME688 also includes a MOX gas sensor. Heated metal oxide changes its conductivity under the influence of volatile organic substances, and this is how air quality is measured.

In addition to the same features as the original BME680, the new BME688 also has an additional gas scanning function to detect the presence of VSCs.
